Open Hearts & Doors for Indian Believers

compiled by Laura Calys Last fall, the Outreach department began a conversation with a group at First Free called Telugu Christian Fellowship. They are Indian believers who speak the Telugu language. After several conversations, the Groups and Outreach departments decided that this would be a good partnership. We are excited to welcome another ethnic group to be a part of the First Free family. Like the Chinese Christian Fellowship, they are not a church unto themselves but rather they

by Cathy Nelson We have some new and exciting opportunities for you to join God’s mission in the world this year.  Three of our missionaries have asked for teams to work alongside them: Josh Krato in Prague (Czech Republic) needs 4-10 people to help with a family camp teaching English from July 11 to 23.  Teaching English means conversing and playing games, not grammar and spelling. We have to commit by the end of January so it’s time to

Men from a nearby tribe had been engaged to carry the heavy load of supplies. The first day they marched rapidly and traveled very far. The traveler had high hopes for the progress of the journey given the pace of their initial day. But the second morning these wilderness tribesmen refused to move. For some strange reason,

What’s New with Josh Krato?

by Cathy Nelson Josh Krato, one of our supported missionaries, continues to thrive in missions in the Czech Republic.  He writes about some of the events: “English Club has been a blast this year. We average 8-12 students every Wednesday after school and have English conversation-based activities and games. Students have started taking turns baking goodies to bring to Club! It’s a great indicator of the sense of community we’ve developed. Still teaching English and sharing God’s love, except

We have recently committed to serving students and their families by contributing to a ‘backpack program’. Rather than collecting food items for Circle of Concern, we will now do so for the Carman Trails Partnership Backpack Program. This program provides a weekend’s supply of food for 22 children. You may donate at the drop-off baskets at each entrance to the main building. The foods
