by Cathy Nelson This year was the end of our partnership with Dresden, Germany. Why, after 26 teams, did we stop? Well, because partnerships are a two-sided thing, there are two sides to this issue. One was that they are doing so well! They have a large church for Germany, with 400 in attendance. They are considering whether they can go to three services or not. A New Venture in Serving Carman Trails: As you know, First Free has been partnering with Carman Trails Elementary School at various levels. We have become aware of the needs of certain students who do not have enough food over the weekend, and we have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. Rather than collecting food items for Circle of Concern, we will now do so for the Carman Trails Partnership Backpack Program.

by Laura Calys After a brief conversation with one of our students last spring, a new ministry idea was born. Over dinner on a Wednesday night, I asked a lady from Yemen if she liked to cook. Her response was “I love to cook, you should taste my food!” I told her I would love to. Scott and Cathy Waller work with Eidos Christian Center. The following is an excerpt from their website written by J.P. Moreland: “An increasingly secular culture has emerged in the United States. Along with this, the church has grown anti-intellectual and out of touch with the historical principles of spiritual formation…important to a vibrant Christian faith that unites both head and heart to the good of the church and the society at large. But I believe a great harvest is

by Cathy Nelson Adapted from “Top Ten Issues on the Hearts and Minds of Missionaries” by John Certalic Have you ever wondered what is on a missionary’s mind? Maybe you have a friend or relative who is a sent worker. You notice that some things they think must be kept inside because they don’t want to offend or lose a supporter. But what do they really think? You can be sure most missionaries have a real passion and calling.
